What we need to know about the coronavirus that isn\u2019t fueled by misinformation, politics, and hysteria.<\/p>\n

My daughter is an ER doctor and these are the 9 things she is advising me to do:<\/p>\n

  1. Stay at home!<\/li>\n
  2. Wash my hands<\/li>\n
  3. Don\u2019t touch my face<\/li>\n
  4. Conduct business in Google Hangouts\/Skype<\/li>\n
  5. Participate in webinars and zoom meetings<\/li>\n
  6. Get my flu shot and pneumonia vaccine<\/li>\n
  7. Cancel travel plans<\/li>\n
  8. Avoid young people who are not socially isolating themselves<\/li>\n
  9. Read this article about \u201cflattening the curve\u201d (see link below)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    By taking these precautionary steps, the ER will be able to handle real emergencies \u2013 very sick patients suffering from life-threatening diseases and COVID-19. Hospitals are not equipped with enough test kits, masks, and PPEs to treat the number of people who will need hospitalization.<\/p>\n
