2023 California Mother of the Year

Introducing Jenny Cullumber,

our 2023 California American Mother of the Year!

Jenny Cullumber is the mother of seven, a certified health education specialist, a small business owner,  a student, and a church and community volunteer.  She embraces change and loves to learn new things, but her favorite thing to do is to meet new people!

After spending her childhood on a family farm in Wyoming, Jenny  went to school at Utah State University. She met her husband, Roger, there after accidentally hitting him with her sliding desk in Humanities and they now have been married for 23 years and have seven children.

Jenny earned an Associate Degree from USU and then a Bachelor’s  Degree in Public Health from BYU-I, summa cum laude.  She is slowly working on a Master’s Degree in Health Communications from Boston University.  She feels like moms are the first line of defense when it comes to good health, and loves the intersection of motherhood and healthcare.

Jenny is also enjoying her year of weekly volunteering as she promotes her Mother of the Year campaign “Look Out California.” She feels that unlike some mental health treatments, service provides connection and contribution that gives us lasting positive mental health.  She is also really enjoying seeking out inspirational moms to share their unique stories and feels privileged to have met some of the choicest women alive.

Jenny likes to keep busy, but her son and six daughters are always her number one. To her motherhood is the greatest privilege in life.

From her Swiss Alps ancestors, Jenny is a mountains girl through and through!

The best part of American Mothers is meeting wonderful women who love their families and who are contributing to their communities in amazing ways! #2023nationalconvention
